Friday, Sept. 26

Okay, I know I'm not blogging nearly as often as I should...so here's a quick one. I spent Friday night at the Dunbar - Arlington Heights game and came away just as I thought i would - impressed with Darius White. It's not to say there weren't plenty of other athletes on the field, but he's obviously something special. Guys like him can't be bought at Wal-Mart. His size, speed, and athleticism stand out. And he's just a junior.
I saw the score of the Peach Bowl (Arlington vs. Lamar)...did someone forget to let the defenses off the bus?
I saw the score of the Trinity-Keller game. I'm not real big on the concept of moral victories, and i'm sure the Keller players must be heartbroken to come that close, but it's got to be a confidence boost for them to realize they went toe-to-toe with the state's top ranked team.

VYPE on the air

We are always looking to expand the reach of VYPE, and TV certainly seems like a good way to do that. First off, members of the VYPE team will be appearing on the KTXA High School Football Special, set to air Saturday, Aug. 23 at 6:30 on KTXA local channel 21.
In addition, VYPE is in the process of developing a new weekly TV show with Time Warner Cable. While there are still many details to be ironed out, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to get the word out.
